E-filing Superseding State Returns (California, others) in Lacerte

Hello,

California and a few other states support e-filing superseded returns. California specifically added support for Individual/Fiduciary in 2022, joining the business entities which they had supported previously.

Unfortunately, Lacerte has not added support to supersede state returns yet. Many other competing tax software programs have this feature and have for some time.

While it is great to supersede a Federal return, having to amend the California return makes the process convoluted and we believe it is time Lacerte catches up and adds support to supersede the state as well.

Please do this. Superseded returns are a must have feature for Lacerte. Both Drake and CCH already offer this feature.

Yes, I just realized that Lacerte doesn't support this feature for California fiduciary returns! This makes tax season a headache. Please add this feature. We can e-file a superseded return for federal, so why can't we do it for California? Please fix this.

It worked last year for a California individual return but this year when I check the box superseded I get a California e-file diagnostic error ref #61590. FTB says that you can e-file a superseded return. Lacerte needs to fix this.
