Discontinuing 2017 and 2018 ProConnect Tax Returns

I would just like to make a suggestion.  If you are going to discontinue old year tax returns due to the new tax year rolling out - can you please wait until after the tax season is officially over?  I've logged into my ProConnect online today and discovered that a tax return I was working on is now gone.  Yes - believe it or not - I'm still dealing with a 2018 tax issue.  Today is the deadline for Nonprofit tax return submissions and I'm still working on a past issue.  As you can imagine, having this happen to me today was not helpful.  Perhaps next year - can you wait until the end of November to erase prior years and roll out the new year?  After all - no one is working on 2025 yet.

Thank you.

George - just be careful that you don't get called into the principal's office for using that nasty 4 letter word.  You know how Intuit hates to hear that word.

@beth720   If you are using ProConnect, software for tax professionals, you do need an EFIN to efile.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

@beth720 We are volunteer users of Intuit tax software. You will need to contact Intuit to request a refund, and I doubt you will get it.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

If you do get a refund, please let us know.  I have been disappointed for years over the lack of form 5227 in ProSeries so I would like a refund too.

@beth720 You should be able to print the return without the EFIN. You may then mail it to the proper agencies. Here is the information of how to connect to ProConnect support, including by telephone. https://accountants.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-settings/contact-proconnect-tax-help/L031xWrR5_US_en_US?uid=miezmyc2
