Diagnostic for Form 5695 Residential Energy Credit needs updating
This is a request for a technical update, not a new idea. In the Final Review, the diagnostic message for Form 5695, Residential Energy Credits, says the credit has a lifetime limit of $500. To my knowledge, this limit was removed in the Inflation Reduction Act and replaced with an annual $1,200 limit for tax years after 2022. The diagnostic language should be updated to reflect current law. Thank you! (A new idea may be to create a clearer way to send over a technical correction request 🙂
