Create a notification for changes made after returns are sent for e-signature

I compare the signed F 8879 amounts to the return 'just' as I'm about to efile it. 

The bells/whistles provided by UltraTax are not likely to be included in a program that costs substantially less.

Same here.  But I also eyeball the return (not the schedules) quickly in case there's anything glaringly different.

Agree with Anna about the bells and whistles.  It also sounds like UltraTax creates the XML when F.8879 is produced, in which case, they may have a point of comparison.  With Intuit products, my hunch is that the XML is not created until the return is actually sent for efiling.

I understand that the program cannot do this currently. This was a suggestion that based on your responses is something that others are also having to find a workaround for. Wouldn't it help for PTO to introduce a future feature that helps us make sure what we're sending to our clients is what is submitted?

I'll be the first to cast you a vote.  Even though I'm the glass-half-full kinda guy, I'm not hopeful when it comes to Intuit.  However, I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.

Thanks for the idea to add the option to lock the return to prevent updates or add a notification option to indicate changes after e-signature was sent. We are changing the status to "Open for voting".
