PLEASE BRING BACK THE 1099-B WORKSHEET.  THE NEW FORMAT IS TERRIBLE.  IT'S INEFFICIENT, KLUTZY, AND IRRITATING.  IF YOU ASKED ME RIGHT NOW IF I WOULD RECOMMEND PROSERIES, I WOULD GIVE A RESOUNDING NO!!!!

I’m getting used to it (after a couple hundred B and E entries)…. Biggest complaint is the description is at bottom instead of top…. Understand the changes were made to accommodate the 1099-DA

I AM TIRED OF HAVING TO SCROLL DOWN TO CHECK MY WORK, TO SEE THE GAIN/LOSS.

@Skylane I figured out how that widget works where you enter each element of the data and then check the box to enter it on the old-style input sheet.  But I agree with @SmallTaxFirm , it would be better if we could see the gain or loss in the same place.

@SmallTaxFirm agreed, the scrolling sucks and need to see G/L in realtime. this is the first iteration of a major rewrite of the section. It usually takes them a few tries… keep complaining…. @BobKamman  I hadn’t really played with the widget… it’s  better but still cumbersome… i like that you can flip proceeds/basis and bot/sold to match the statement….thanks….  I’d really like to see a pop up worksheet you could move aside and see immediate changes (like the refund monitor).   I’ve been whining about this rewrite all season… if i behave myself, they’ve threatened an invite to a post season b-tch & moan session with dev.  This is highest on my list.

I agree 100%.  There was no need to make any change but more importantly, the 2025 worksheet is more prone to errors and much less efficient.  Just one example:  every broker statement has the wash sale information on the same line as the sales price and the basis, just like last year's worksheet.  Who was the moron who thought it would be a good idea to put the wash sale information TWO lines further down from the sales price and the basis?  Has that person EVER prepared a tax return using tax software?  It is SUPPOSED to be user friendly.  The example I gave is a perfect example of how NOT to be user friendly.
