Bank account information unmasked on 1040 p2 when amount owed. Many clients complain that they cannot verify the account for payment withdrawal.

The problem with this is now every time this copy is distribution to a bank, school, etc the number is there for everyone to see.

It would be better to provide the client with a form to sign that they have reviewed the account number and it is correct. This would not be part of the client copy. This is for both withdrawals and direct deposit. A deposit to a wrong account is more of a disaster as the IRS can not claw it back.

Perhaps it can be added to the SF (signing forms) print package.
