The red notification bubbles in the top right of the screen are distracting and rarely useful because they're usually advertising Intuit products. Clicking on and archiving the notification takes time out of my day that I'll never get back. Why annoy everyone with these messages? Please let us opt out of receiving them.

"Why annoy everyone with these messages?"

Because that's what Intuit likes to do to its customers.  I guess you could just call them weird.

Product and tax alerts are fine. But I'd prefer not to be advertised to while paying to use your software. The alerts are distracting.

@taxprepper Your name is intriguing! preparing for the taxapocalypse?

I that product alerts are fine.  I am not voting for this suggestion as I find the alerts in the software are the best place for me to be alerted.  It's rarely more than one minute so I can find a place to get back the time...but not by reducing my sleepy naps and thinking about flowers and kitties.
