Allow conversion of data from a tax year to the same tax year (i.e., Lacerte 2024 to Proconnect 2024) and/or allow conversion of the immediately preceding tax year (i.e., if Pronnect 2025 is the current year, allow Lacerte 2023 to Proconnect 2024)
We just switched over to Proconnect 2025 from Lacerte 2024. However, we have two 1120S clients that have fiscal year end of 9/30/25. We need to prepare those returns on 2024 forms. I went through Proconnect Assistant twice, but apparently, there is no way for even them to help me with converting the backups from Lacerte 2023 to Proconnect 2024 or from Lacerte 2024 (since we already rolled over from Lacerte 2023 for extensions) to Proconnect 2024.
Starting from scratch is a hassle for a client that has 1000 fixed assets, and the import function doesn't import override fields (like client-specific asset categories).
