Ability to import K-1s into PTO in which we did not prepare the business tax return

Some of my clients have over ten K-1s from other companies. I might prepare the business tax return for one or two of them, but the rest are prepared outside of my firm. Having to input all of these manually is extremely time consuming and error prone. PTO was one of the first softwares to allow an import feature many years ago, but now I feel it is lagging far behind. I would like to add K-1s to the list of documents which can be imported into PTO from an outside provider.

Are you sure that an outside provider is going to be able to provide the software with data that can be imported?

I'm not sure how that works regarding privacy. Given that the same information will get added to the tax return, I'm not sure that there's much of a difference either way, as the software ends up with the information in both scenarios. The K-1s would only get imported once we manually click the button to import it, just like we do with a W-2 to import into PTO.

Thanks for the idea for K-1s to be imported from an outside provider. We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it has been around for over 30 days and no longer considered "New".
