706: Lacerte not ready by the return due date
Lacerte cannot prepare Form 706 for a death that occurred 10 months ago! WE ARE PAST THE DUE DATE! As of 17 Nov 2025, Lacerte software is not updated for the August 2025 revision of Form 706. The prior version of Form 706, which is the August 2019 revision, is only for deaths on or before 12/31/2024, so for deaths after 2024, Lacerte has no Form 706 for Estate Tax Returns that are due before the 2025 software is finalized to produce Form 706, which looks to be March 2026 or later. This is months after the due dates of Forms 706 for deaths that occurred in the first quarter of 2025. PATHETIC!
