4th Quarter CO estimated tax payments

Many (over a dozen) clients have received letters from CO.  The issue is that the 4th quarter estimates, paid in January 2026 are being applied to 2026 estimates instead.  Can this be corrected?

I don't do CO returns, but with California we have a practitioner hotline that helps resolve this issue. I found this on the internet for Colorado. Maybe give it a try

"Colorado Department of Revenue
To seek assistance with a Colorado Department of Revenue matter, first contact the CDOR Practitioner's Helpline (for practitioners ONLY) at 303-232-2419"
