2024 Lacerte Individual Tax program: Client letter contains an incorrect HSA contribution amount

In the Forms view, the client letter states that the spouse's HSA deductible contribution is $1326.  But then goes on to say that $1325 [not $1326!] must be deposited into her account by April 15th.  This 2024 Lacerte program glitch must be corrected ASAP!

Use Ctrl + L to open an e-mail to support to report any program errors.

Use this post area to ask for general improvements to the program in the future. Like PLEASE ADD FORM ....

EDIT: By the way you posted for the wrong software - ProConnect

Thank you George4Tacks for the very useful insight!  This was my 1st post and I was complying with Lacerte tech support who remotely viewed the client letter on my PC.  She emailed me the link that I used inappropriately to identify a glitch in the Lacerte program.  Feeling a little frustrated with that suggestion now.

Please don't. Keep adding insights. I do not think the agent was right, but I don't know how they are trained.

Will do.  Thanks to your thoughtfulness, I now know how to post here regarding Lacerte.

"but I don't know how they are trained"

They actually provide them training?  😜

(Jeff, you beat me to it...)

Barryd, my Lacerte isn't doing that.  Check your data entry for an errant '1 entered; perhaps is the 'contributions made (letter use only)' field on Screen 32.1?

abctax55, you nailed it!  I inadvertently placed a 1 in the contributions made (letter use only) screen as you guessed.  (Had not known how to use that field.)  Thanks a lot!
