E-filing AUT-01 with Blank First Name – Intuit Profile Error (T815):
I am struggling to e-file an AUT-01 form using Intuit Profile due to the client's unusual name situation:
- Client Name: No first or middle name, only the last name "John Doe".
- Error Received: T815 ("taxpayer information entered does not match our records")
Attempts and Results:
- Try 1: First Name: Blank, Last Name: John Doe --> T815 error
- Try 2: First Name: John, Last Name: Doe --> T815 error
- Try 3: First Name: John Doe, Last Name: Blank --> T815 error
Has anyone successfully e-filed an AUT-01 with a similar name situation? I've considered contacting the CRA directly but would appreciate insights from others with Intuit Profile experience. Are there workarounds or specific instructions for this scenario?
