Mine is more of a request more so than a question, although it’s going to contain a question. I think I have mentioned this before but have never gotten a clear answer on it, but why can we not have the option to choose between a certain time frame when printing reports, rather than a month to month, year to year, etc. basis? Why can the program not be more like QuickBooks in certain aspects? I.E. I have a client who is  needing payroll from Aug 19th, 2025 to July 19th, 2026. Do you think our program will let us do that? NO! Why not? Because we have a program that does the basics pretty well, but beyond that who knows. Is there any way we might could get this implemented by 2027 or am I asking too much out of the software?  I know there’s things that are more important right now but this would make our jobs alot easier when sending reports for audits & for renewals of insurance. Please at least consider this.

I have this situation when preparing workers comp audits.  I copy the company to a different directory, then using that directory, I delete the August 2025 payroll checks that were prior to August 19, 2025 and the payroll checks that were after July 19, 2026.  I can then run the payroll journal using the dates August 2025 through July 2026.  Depending on the needs, it can be run by employee or by check number.  It’s a bit cumbersome since we can’t run the payroll earnings report using that date range, but printing the payroll journal by employee does give the individual employee totals on the payroll journal, which is needed for the WC audits.

Where do we get to vote on ideal changes? I would like my voice heard… but not at the expense of the issues we have had this year.

It should have been done Years Ago. and agree that it should be checked for any errors before being rolled out.
