Installed update - now won't deduct state or local

The state and local information is setup in the screen - worked last year and now will not deduct the state or the local deductions

Check and make sure the state & local tax codes you are using in the employee screens match the ones listed in the system payroll tax tables for 2020.  We've had that happen before where we've renamed a local table to reflect the county name and when a new update came up, it didn't update automatically.
