E-file rejections of form 940

All the 940 e-filings were rejected. When I go to the e-file audit trail, it states that nothing needs to be changed except form needs to be refiled when e-filing is open. But form 940 e-filing is currently open. Has anyone else received these messages? It also states that banking information is missing but all the returns have a $0.00 balance due. I can't even find where to enter banking information for form 940. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Under bank reconciliations you go to bank accounts and enter the information there.  Then when you go to the 940 2nd screen you mark it as refund and it will allow you to choose the bank account.  All of my 940s got rejected even though they were marked as apply to next return.  I am going to attempt to file mine after the e-file opens again and see what happens.

Same issue I had with the filing. I selected apply to next return as well and all have been rejected. I still haven't received confirmation on my 941's either. Usually I receive email confirmation of acceptance shortly after I send electronic file, but not this time. This program is a disaster.

All of mine were rejected as well.  The format is wrong for the banking information so EasyAcct needs to be updated ASAP!!!  Also, we shouldn't have to put banking information on a return!  All of mine are paid in full, so listing banking information is pointless!  I still have not received confirmation on all my 941's filings.  It says "Pending" which is concerning.  If I have to resubmit all those, I am going to scream!!!

Yeah. I'm not sending my clients banking information on the form for no reason. This appears to be a programming issue.

All of the 940s I filed rejected as well for the same reason.  None of them had a balance due or a refund.  Putting banking information in should only be required when necessary.  This year's version has been a complete mess.

Has anyone called EasyACCT about this yet?

Feel free.  The more people that call the better.

Same here...940 rejected & 941 still pending.

I got emails excepting all my 940s with confirmation numbers, but EZ still says they were all rejected.

I still have not received any confirmations on the 941's.

I can see it now we are all going to be getting IRS letters telling us we never filed our 941's 940's for 2025. Same thing that happened in 2021. I have no idea how many times I have had to send in the proof the we filed. Really don't want that to happen again.

It appears they have shut down E-filing the 940's. I just tried to resubmit a rejected own and the screen comes up and says efile is not available and to come back in mid January LOL.

Lol.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it mid January?

Hello! At this time, Form 940 can’t be e-filed in EasyACCT. If you receive an Error 54 message this indicates that e-file for 940s is not yet open for the program.  For the rejection, there’s no action needed regarding banking information. We understand this creates additional challenges, especially during a busy filing period. An update will be released for EasyACCT and then it will be necessary to resubmitted. The community will be updated as soon as that update is available.

Hello, Thanks for posting in the Community and we appreciate the patience. Please install the update release yesterday and resubmit the 940s. We have had confirmation on other posts that 940s have been accepted.
